‘Next in Fashion’ Canceled After One Season at Netflix (EXCLUSIVE) – Variety




Next in Fashion” has sewn its final thread — at least at Netflix.

Netflix has canceled the fashion competition series hosted by Tan France and Alexa Chung after only a single season, Variety has learned exclusively.

France confirmed the news, saying “we’re not doing a second a season,” before hinting that perhaps the series could be revived elsewhere.

“This is a one-season show, we don’t know what will happen in the future,” France told Variety. “But it was honestly one of the proudest things I’ve ever worked on. I love the show and Alexa so much. My focus is definitely on ‘Queer Eye’ and moving forward with that.”

News of the cancelation comes just two days after Netflix jettisoned another show, “Astronomy Club,” after only one season. The streamer is developing a pattern of only giving shows a single outing, as “Next in Fashion” joins a list that includes “Messiah,” “Spinning Out,” “Soundtrack” and “AJ & the Queen,” all of which were given the axe in 2020 following their debut seasons.

“Next in Fashion” featured some of the world’s best, most innovative designers competing for a chance to become the next big name in fashion. The format began with eighteen designers who faced challenges centering on a different trend or design style that was influenced the way the entire world dresses. All the contestants, most of whom had worked for major brands and dressed A-list celebrities, and competed head-to-head to see who had the skill, originality and determination to win the grand prize of $250,000 and an opportunity to debut their collection with luxury fashion retailer Net-a-Porter. South Korean designer Minju Kim emerged as the show’s sole winner.

The series, which debuted back in January, was created and produced by theoldschool and was executive produced by Robin Ashbrook and Yasmin Shackleton with co-executive producer Adam Cooper. Elizabeth Stewart and Eva Chen acted as recurring guest judges on the series.

Frédéric Arnault Has Been Named CEO of TAG Heuer – Robb Report




When it comes to business, LVMH likes to keep things in the family.

Frédéric Arnault, son of the luxury conglomerate’s founder Bernard Arnault, was just appointed as the CEO of luxury Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer. One of the younger members of the Arnault clan, Frédéric joins some of his siblings in taking on more senior roles within the LVMH infrastructure––a critically important strategic move as the family controls just under half of the business.

Beginning on July 1st, the 25-year-old will officially begin his role as the brand’s chief executive; he’s worked at the brand for the past three years in various roles, developing digital strategies as watch brands struggle to engage with a new generation of customers. Though fairly young for his new title, Frédéric spent time at both Facebook and the consulting firm McKinsey before working closely with current TAG CEO Stéphane Bianchi.

In a parallel move, Bianchi, who oversees all watch brands in addition to TAG Heuer, will get an expanded role that also oversees jewelry at LVMH, with the notable exception of Bulgari.

With Frédéric’s ascension to his new position, he’ll become the fourth of Bernard’s five children to hold senior roles within LVMH. Despite being a publicly traded company, the elder Arnault is known to exercise tight control over the houses that operate under his umbrella and it’s been speculated that the roles in which he’s installed his children act as a testing ground for who will replace him at some point––though he shows no sign of slowing.

LVMH has expanded dramatically in recent years, the biggest point of growth being its acquisition of New York City-based jeweler Tiffany & Co. The American heritage brand was purchased for a staggering $16.2 billion––the largest deal in luxury history. However, amid the economic tumult brought on by the coronavirus pandemic and international protests in support of black lives, the company is reportedly questioning that deal.

8 body exfoliation products that peel calluses all over




If you’ve ever exfoliated your feet before with the cult-favorite Baby Foot peel, you know how incredibly satisfying it is. Much like the skin on your face (and your feet), the skin on your body is important to exfoliate in order to keep it healthy and free of debris and dead skin cell buildup, which is why all sorts of body exfoliation products exist.

Besides your feet, which need extra love since they’re used practically all day long, spots like your elbows, hands, knees, neck, and chest could use regular exfoliation, too. “At-home peeling involves applying a topical solution to the skin with the aim of exfoliating off rough, thickened, or acne-prone skin,” says Elliot Weiss, MD, a board-certified dermatologist with the Laser and Skin Surgery Center of New York. “Various parts of the body can be peeled, but attention must be paid to the sensitivity level of each.” Essentially, the thicker the skin is, the more potent your exfoliating peel can be.

“Thicker areas of skin like the hand and feet can tolerate a more concentrated peel, whereas areas like the neck and chest are much more sensitive and require more gentle treatments,” says Dr. Weiss. Whichever area you’re working with, look for a peel that contains chemical exfoliants. Active ingredients that Dr. Weiss recommends include alpha-hydroxy and beta-hydroxy acids, fruit acids, and naturally occurring enzymes. If the area that you’re exfoliating is acne-prone, he suggests going with beta-hydroxy acids like salicylic acid, “but most peeling agents will help superficial acne to some degree.”

While it may seem extra to exfoliate every square inch of skin on your body, note that spots like your knees and elbows can be done about once a month. “A good rule is to start off slow and build up as you learn your level of tolerance,” says Dr. Weiss, who recommends waiting between four and five weeks to exfoliate areas like your neck and chest (more sensitive spots), and between two and four for other areas. Sometimes you’ll just know that something is begging for exfoliation: “For the hands or feet, skin that’s becoming rough and thickened is ready for a peel,” he says.
